In the General Agriculture Department we have interesting training courses such as craft certificate in General Agriculture, Trade Test courses includes: Field Crop Production, Poultry Management, Horticulture Production, Pig management and Fish Management. These training courses like other Courses in our department are on high demand as they are tailored to meet challenges of changing management and production systems.
Our students easily fit in industry on graduation due to the availability of facilities such as well-designed poultry, garden and piggery units. The students are trained in General Agriculture for craft level. We also have the latest Short courses which allow trainees to acquire skills on how manage chickens, rabbits, cattle, fish, vegetable crops and field crops.

 It should be noted that Mansa Trades is the only Centre offering courses which enable trainees to acquire skills which are useful in both formal and informal sectors.
The General Agriculture Department under the crops and Animal husbandry sections, conducts short intensive training courses for Industrial and Informal sector operators.

It is our policy to offer our students training in entrepreneurship to encourage self-reliance and job creation. We look forward to having you join us.

1.Craft in General Agriculture

Duration: 2 Years (1month in industry)

Course Coverage

Year one

Mathematics and statistics, Science (physics and chemistry), Biology (botany and zoology), Soil science, Communication Skills, Introduction to computers, Animal production I, Crop production and Farm Management I

Year two

Crops II, Animal Production II, Fish Farming, Farm management II, Farm Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Rural Sociology and Inclusive development.

Employment Prospects

Successful students are likely to be employed in the Agriculture departments (GRZ), Agricultural farms, Research Stations,
